Broken Trust

Slowly, painfully eroding through time
out of the blue, suddenly shattering to pieces.
Irrevokably broken.

At a standstill – can’t move forward, can’t go back.

Lucky ones can leave.
Change the situation.
Close the door.
Apprehensive – a new door.

But you, you cannot leave.

Putting your head down, you plow forward.
It’s not really forward – just wading in the water, trying to stay afloat.

Keeping your head down, you live an eternal battle.
Just one more day,
just one more hour,
just one more minute.

The clock keeps ticking.

Will it get better?
Will there be change?

Can you mend what is broken?

Be better.
Do better.

Words are hollow and empty without action.
Action – different, better action – fuels change.

Broken can be mended.
